Argoneto, a CTO and founder of the AWS User Group Basilicata, has spent over a decade pioneering cloud culture in a region where tech ecosystems were virtually nonexistent. He organizes an international tech conference in a small mountain village, blending deep technical sessions on cloud architectures and DevOps with unconventional networking experiences that draw attendees from across Europe.
“Maurizio shows that community is not about location—it's about connection,” noted the AWS Heroes program director. “He mentors across generations, from introducing children to coding to guiding university students into cloud careers.” Argoneto’s efforts have created a unique space where global experts and local talent converge, making him a standout Community Hero.
